Katie graduated from Reed College (B.A. in Biology) and worked in the wet lab for many years focused upon large scale intracellular signaling and mass cytometry of cell populations. After that, she transitioned to compliance and translational research in the clinic and community populations. Currently Katie is working on engaging the L.A. county in genetic research.
