Tony joined the lab team in June 2024. He is currently one of the Focus Group Facilitators for the GenLA study led by Dr. Paul T. Spellman. The study aims to get the Los Angeles community's opinions and knowledge on Genetic Health Screening.

Before moving to the Los Angeles, he worked at the NYC Department of Health & Mental Hygiene as the Study Operation Supervisor and Community Coordinator for the CDC-funded program, the National HIV Behavioral Surveillance Study (NHBS). This is a comprehensive bio-behavioral surveillance system that has tracked risk factors of HIV since 2003. Tony hopes to bring his 12-year experience in public health and community engagement to increase public awareness and interest to genetic health screenings.

In his spare time, Tony enjoys working out, hiking and everything art related (Museums, Theater, Film, Drag Performers, etc.) He also likes to invest quality time with his family, friends and 10 years old dog, a yorkie named Milo.
